I went out of town with a friend a few weekends ago and she played her family’s roadtrip playlist for me — a mashup of 80s and 90s classics from Nirvana and Tribe Called Quest and Salt-N-Pepa and one-hit wonders like, say, Toto.
On our family rides, we take turns as DJ, where my kid rotates between the same nine songs (good ones, like "Jolene” and “Blackbird” and truly painful selections from the soundtrack of “Descendants 3”).
So, in an effort to get ahead of the game as we get ready to head out of town over the summer, we’re starting to build a new family soundtrack.
Here’s where I am starting:
Cowboy Carter, which Lane also wrote beautifully about and is filling our household with joy.
Yes! I am listening to the Challengers soundtrack NONSTOP. I am OBSESSED with the film and the music. I cannot see it again fast enough!
So far we have twenty songs on our playlist.
Love it!! Thank you for this!
Also my husband wants it known that Toto had least three hits so this is my official correction!
