How do so many of us not know this?! My ignorance of this is my own straight privilege, and I also am thinking about why so much of it seems hidden deliberately. So humiliating and punitive.
At the same time I did know what a heartbreaking crisis the foster system is in, and the horrible consequences that it has for children when they don’t have homes. And now I’m just thinking about how homophobia is fueling that crisis. Thanks for this and connecting these dots.
