Thank you for documenting all the hopefulness -- and action-- that is out there! It is so important to see all the places where change is happening and what's driving it!

Thank you. I love this. I own the world's largest website devoted to names, whose visitors are mostly expectant parents and young female name lovers, and for the first time in our 16-year-history wrote a public political endorsement of Kamala, of course https://nameberry.com/blog/why-you-should-vote-for-kamala-harris. It's a risky business move, as many of our 100,000 daily visitors have canceled their subscriptions most due to their pro-life beliefs. But morally I believed it was my duty to speak out on the forum I have in favor of Kamala Harris and women's rights, and many more of our visitors have thanked me for it. We've been too afraid for too long and I very much appreciate everything you said.

Oh my goodness! I read your newsletter! I love names (as you know Mormon names are very unique and have their own aesthetic). THANK YOU for speaking up. This is the moment, and if not now, when?? What do we even stand for, why do we even have platforms at all, if we don't use them now? I salute you, Madame!!!

Even I have also had a pretty big slow down in followers and have seen some unsubscribes as I get more pointed and outspoken with my posts in the last couple months. But what will we tell our daughters?? Leave it all on the field!!

I cried again reading this- I feel hopeful about white women and older women in this election, people I never expected to vote blue have! I had an extensive conversation with a Black grandad of a soccer teammate a couple weeks ago about if I thought white women would show up for Kamala in the wake of the Dobbs decision- it was the first weekend of early voting and I said I didn’t know for sure but I thought it was far more likely than it was prior to 2022.

Is it my Lands End sweaters that are coding me as liberal? And my mom bun is just like this brunette too! Lands End is a go to for me.

Thank you, Elizabeth! I cried writing it! Here's hoping...it's looking MUCH better. I believe!

I'm more of a Quince/Everlane liberal myself. Although I also tend to like Marine Layer, which I think is just a cousin of Land's End :) The Harris campaign knows its demographic.

My Lands End jacket is my favorite! I am thankful you came up with the idea for me to get one (it’s nice to have a sister who is so helpful with shopping advice) instead of something more expensive like a Columbia jacket. I do the mom bun all the time and thought I was just lazy about doing my hair. I wonder all the time if people can tell by looking at me that I am a liberal Christian (I had MAGA hat clad people talking to me in line at the early voting site about whether I wanted to work at the Christian preschool I stopped working at almost 6 years ago so they probably don’t know). I didn’t dislike working at the Christian preschool per se, but I did feel like there were no Democrats there- I worked there from shortly after Trump was elected in 2016 until March of 2019, and I remember talking to a couple friends about reading Hillary’s memoir What Happened. They said they weren’t fans of hers, but from the way I talked about the book thought it might be better than they would have expected.

I live in the backwater state of Ohio and last year I helped collect signatures to restore Roe here.

I knew it was going to pass when the boomer men, yes men, I spoke to were enraged as much as I was about the stripping away of our bodily autonomy.

Let’s hope that rage spreads like wildfire.

Send a message. Vote out every single republican!

Thank you! This is so on point and appreciated. I was just talking to my husband about this tonight. I think everyone is underestimating the power of pissed off, motivated women. God I want us to trounce them so bad tomorrow. This feels like our moment and it is so frustrating it’s not being documented; however if/when we win, maaaybe just maybe they will actually recognize why.

Thx so much! Here's hoping on both counts! Even if we didn't win, it still matters to me that women are the ones who worked so hard to defeat him and elect our first woman president. But yes--I want to win AND get recognition!
